Polyether modified silicone oil is modified by grafting polyether segments onto the hydrophobic siloxane main chain. The silicone part in polyether modified silicone oil provides: surface tension reduction, UV resistance, gloss and viscosity adjustment, silicone is hydrophobic but not lipophilic. The polyether part provides: polar groups, varying degrees of water solubility, and lipophilicity.
