Properties: IOTA-970 is a colorless to yellow liquid, low-temperature white crystals. IOTA-970 soluble in the most common ,such as benzene, toluene, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, benzene, ethanol, petroleum ether and other solvents and various industrial plasticizers, IOTA-970 is insoluble in water. Promotes rapid gelation and tack-free times.

Reactivity IOTA-970 is very stable in aqueous solution, but in alkaline solution at room temperature, hydrolysis.
Application and performance Catalyst for RTV IOTA-970 used as a catalyst in the vulcanizing cure of silicones at room temperatures. Especilally suitable for acetoxy sealant; Has higher catalysis speed than dibutyltin dilaurate.Normally the mixed ratio is DBTDA:DBTDL=1:9 to 2:8; also as catalyst of polyurethane coating.
