Beili Symphony Orchestra
Tell you two or three things about live performance
With the maturity of recording technology, many well-known orchestras at home and abroad will publish high-quality CDs and the latest recordings.
The existence of recording solves the problem of not being able to attend the concert in person. In that case, why do we come to the concert? How can we better appreciate the charm of symphony?
Let's follow the students of the North polytechnic students Symphony Orchestra to learn about live performances that you don't know.
Q
Why do we still have to listen to and enjoy the concert on the spot?
NO.1
The importance of spatial factors
The arrangement of the symphony orchestra's instruments is very special, and it will be changed according to different styles of music. This is not reflected in the recording. If you are at the scene, you can clearly enjoy the interaction between the instruments.
Taking "Pathetique" in Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 as an example, we need to adopt the traditional European pendulum method. The first violin and the second violin are separated on both sides, responding to each other and peeping into the composer's pains in the interaction. In addition, different layout presents different sound effects, which can be centralized and dispersed, and can be called by remote phase, which can be surrounded by layers. No matter how expensive the sound is, it can't restore its interest.
In addition, sometimes, the environment of the performance scene itself has a strong additive effect on music.
Take the most famous Golden Hall in Vienna as an example. On the one hand, the floor and walls of pure wood structure are natural resonators. Sitting in the hall, every inch of air around you will vibrate with the vibration of music. The sound effect is gorgeous and bright, as if you are in the music with real feelings. On the other hand, the hall is resplendent, with numerous oil paintings displayed, and various works of art It enhances the overall artistry of the scene and satisfies people's multiple senses such as audio-visual.
NO.2
Visual effect
The concert is a feast of sight and hearing. It's convenient to listen to the recording at home, but some things can only be felt in person. The performers' eye contact, conducting passionate actions, and instruments that cannot be named on the stage can only be felt in person. And the audience who enjoy it as quietly as nearby can make people feel more sympathetic.
When the French pianist Bavi and the contemporary composer Bretz studied his first piano sonata, he played the second movement. He wanted to play it as accurately as possible, so the speed was not as fast as the score required. "No way! Not like this! You need to play fast! Very fast "- it turns out that this section of Bretz doesn't care whether every sound is played clearly. What's important is speed and dazzling skills, especially the posture of the performer's hands flying!
The tacit understanding of the performers, the contrast of the atmosphere and the applause of the audience will give them a new spark on the stage. Only at this time can music show its most real and moving appearance. At this time, it is not only a melody, but also the deep feeling and love of musicians.
NO.3
The charm of "wrong tone"
What should we think of the mispronunciation in the live performance?
In fact, mispronunciation is also the embodiment of the charm of the work and the design of the performer. When composers write music, they finish only half of the work, and the other half depends on performance.
Biaolo, the piano master, once suggested "deliberately playing the wrong tone" at the beginning of the consecutive difficult passages; orr, the Russian violin godfather, would deliberately play the wrong tone at the beginning in order to make the audience hear that it was a difficult skill, which undoubtedly added to the exciting effect of the works.
In addition, sometimes the wrong tone makes the artist's masterstroke.
When playing the second movement of Piano Sonata No. 2, the piano master Rubinstein once held a Chopin Concert in Moscow's Tchaikovsky hall. Unexpectedly, he forgot the score. After a period, he could not get it back, so he simply improvised. Ordinary people must be embarrassed, but Rubinstein played better and more mentally. At the end of the final performance, the whole audience burst into thunderous applause.
It's not a good performance to have only notes but no music. The performance with "wrong voice" is more unforgettable. Of course, I don't mean to call for tolerance for performers' mistakes. Performers naturally hope to present the most perfect performance state, but on the other hand, we should also understand that human beings are not machines, and there can be no mistakes at all.
Q
Why can't I get the beauty of symphony? How to better appreciate the wonderful live performance?
"A friend once told me that when I listen to a concert, if I hear a more familiar tune, I will play a twelve point spirit; if I hear a completely strange tune, I will feel sleepy."
"Most of my friends are not interested in classical music. One of my roommates listened to a concert of Liang Zhu on my strong recommendation. As a result, he came back and told me that he could feel the melody when listening to Liang Zhu, but could not understand any other music. "
I think most people don't get the beauty of Symphony because they don't understand it. If you have never been exposed to classical music, you may regard its elegance as boring. If you don't know the background of a work at all, it's hard to resonate when you hear music. In addition, I think I can't understand the symphony naturally. In fact, I think this is a big mistake.
It is not only those who "understand" can listen to symphony.
How can we appreciate the beauty of symphony
How about enjoying the live performance better?
01
Listen and see
If we listen to music attentively, I think we can definitely understand from the urgency and strength of music.
When I first listened to the bat prelude, there was a piece of music that was light and mysterious, and I could not help but picture a masked but graceful Duchess appearing at the party.
In addition to listening, watching is another harvest of live concert. To watch the pianist's ten fingers take off; to watch the violinist's bowstring interlacing dexterity; to see how the players interpret a work. If you don't pay attention to it, how can you know that at the end of Mahler's Symphony No. 1, seven French trumpeters stand tall and play the triumphant horn? If you don't pay attention to it, how do you know how the four or five hundred people on the stage of the song of ancient thunder perform the post romance?
Rational use of synaesthesia and imagination
02
Take the "classical music enlightenment" of many people, cat and mouse, for example. In this well-known classic cartoon, the creator combines the distinct image, vivid story with the rhythm and rhythm of classical music, hearing and vision, so that people can enjoy the symphony in fun, which will not feel drowsy, boring, pressure and burden.
In addition, in the face of live performances without pictures, you can use your imagination to give music your own story. Before the performance, first understand the story to be told and the emotion to be expressed. In the process of listening, imagine that each note and instrument has its own meaning. When the melody interweaves and the notes jump, a music story belonging to you will naturally take shape in your mind.
03
Search for a cut in and explore step by step
If you are interested in classical music, but you are struggling to understand it, you may as well look for an entrance, and then expand it, so that you can get classical music.
No one is born to hate music, no one will have an aversion to beautiful melody. Maybe compared with the boring and boring classical music, more people tend to the fast-paced pop music, but as long as we go deep into taste and understand the classical music, we can feel the charm of the classical music.
After enjoying several classical violin concertos, such as Mendelssohn's Concerto in E minor and Spanish symphony, I first became interested in classical violin music. After listening to the top ten Violin Concertos, I went to listen to the Capriccio of salasatti, Dvorak and other composers, as well as the classical music like Bach's chakong and Paganini's clock. Although I didn't understand such a hard to understand tune as Zigang after listening to it four or five times, I gave up, but it doesn't matter. There are many comprehensible tunes to enjoy. After that, I went to listen to the piano, organ and classical guitar This is how I developed my interest in classical music.
