My North Polytechnic story
Yuan Peiwen, male, Han nationality, born in January 2000, is a member of the Communist Youth League. He is a 2018 student majoring in Xu Teli's talent class in the special College of Beijing University of technology. He has twice won the first prize of undergraduate excellent student scholarship, the second prize of special cup of Beijing University of technology, the first prize of mathematics competition of Beijing University of technology and other honors.
When the summer sun hangs in the blue sky again, I can't help thinking of what it looked like a year ago: the heat wave hit my cheek, under the heavy travel bag, I dragged the suitcase and the cloth bag in one hand, and walked slowly out of the station. Besides these, there were the admission notices I kept with my heart. Looking up, I was hesitated by the strangeness around me - Beijing is Beijing, not the more prosperous Zhengzhou in my imagination, but the more busy and solemn Forbidden City in my imagination. The solemnity to even the bright sun gives me a sense of distance. This is my first impression of Beijing, strange, hot and cold.
There are 14 subway stations from Beijing West Railway Station to Liangxiang campus of Beijing University of technology. It's not a long distance for such a big Beijing, but it seems a long way for me who is tired and carsick. But I know she's waiting for me and I'm motivated enough to make it. Finally arriving at the station, I saw another scene different from that of Beijing West Railway Station, such as the huge campus, the crowded flow of people, the enthusiastic elder and elder students, cordial, warm and real. It was August 24, and my North Polytechnic and I met for the first time.
It's not easy to adapt to Beijing. Often, I will miss a bowl of Xiaoyao Town Hot Hu soup deep in the alley, and also the stewed noodles that my family and I often go to. These things that I used to feel almost tired of, but now only in my dream can I have enough to eat. Even so, the feeling of being alone in a foreign country didn't last long. During military training, I gained friendship and more understanding and cordiality to Beijing Institute of technology. In the quiet night, when I was about to fall asleep, I told myself that what I was going to open in Beijing Institute of technology was a very broad future.
At the beginning of everything, I always love to make some plans and goals for myself, not only to keep my original mind in mind, but also to spur and forge ahead for myself. When I first entered the University, I was no exception: the knowledge of the university came like a snowflake. I asked myself not to be timid or lazy. I should try to keep pace with the class and do a good job of preview and review. After all, Xu Teli college, where I am, has a lot of experts and fierce competition. Only efforts can keep me from falling behind the team. Of course, I also understand that the university is not only a sea of knowledge, so I ask myself to be brave to try many first time -- first time to join a community (scientific examination), first time to join a student organization (Student Union), first time to run for class cadre (Sports Committee), first time to participate in the university sports meeting, first time to study in the library all day, many times A connection constitutes my colorful and unique life.
Time goes by, summer goes into autumn, my hot heart is also gradually stable. I heard that the new mathematics competition is coming soon. I didn't hesitate to sign up for the provincial first prize. I was lucky to win the first prize. At the same time, the innovation and entrepreneurship competition for college students will also start. I have found four like-minded friends who are interested in doing things. I have signed up for the competition and built our project step by step from scratch, from theory to model in the form of a weekly regular meeting. However, the process was not smooth. At the beginning, we discussed a model, but it was not as easy to implement as we thought, and we were at a loss in successive failures. Fortunately, we are a cohesive team and never want to give up. Therefore, after regular meetings and discussions, we determined another model, which was also proved to be very feasible and efficient. Finally, it was highly recognized by our instructor, participated in the special cup competition, and got the third place. Therefore, I believe more and more that there is no permanent failure, as long as the courage to persist.
When did I fall in love with Xu Yuan? Maybe it's from that collective Yanan trip. It's very cold in late autumn in Beijing, but it's five degrees lower in Yan'an. We'll get off when we open our eyes the next morning. Although Yan'an is not as prosperous as Beijing, the red base is always fascinating. As soon as we got off the bus, everyone began to take photos with great interest, as if to record every corner of this ancient city. Maybe it's because of excitement, everyone seems to have more words, and our relationship seems to be warming up rapidly in the cold. During the day, we listen to classes and visit, play games together in the evening, the classmates are lovely, the directors are kind - everything is real and fresh, not many people have participated in that period of time, but the participants will never forget it.
Later memory, to the winter and spring. One semester's honing, I gradually found the pace of learning, but also through several student union activities, harvest some experience. Before the school sports meeting, my sports department received a glorious and arduous task: to plan and train the school to be read. This is the only chance to show the style of the college to all the teachers and students once a year. Therefore, the college attaches great importance to it. Maybe because of the pressure, no one dares to undertake this task, so I volunteered to contribute. From the selection of actors, to the determination of the performance process of the square array, to the start of training, I feel that this task is much more difficult than I thought before. Later, almost every night, my classmates and I would drill, modify and try again and again on the North Lake shore, so that we would be satisfied for several days. I finally understood that it was also a seemingly beautiful and actually arduous task to be a teacher. I had more admiration and gratitude for the teacher who had trained us in the military. On the day of the sports meeting, when I was half nervous and half calm, I saw my classmates walking across the rostrum with confidence. At that moment, I felt that all the previous efforts were worth it, and we finally won the affirmation of the spiritual civilization award.
I never thought that I would float to the north and fall in love with a university and a group of people born in the Central Plains one day, nor that I would harvest so many unforgettable good memories in the past year. I thank myself for my hard work, which has made me achieve good results in all aspects in the past year. I also remind myself that I will never forget my original heart, and always keep a childlike heart. In the next few years, I will have many servants and become a useful person for the society and the country.
