In 2020, it will be the 80th anniversary of Beijing University of technology and the 60th anniversary of the school of automation. Hereby, I would like to extend my sincere thanks and high respect to leaders at all levels, sages from all walks of life, academicians at home and abroad and all teachers and students and staff who care, support and participate in the construction and development of automation college!
For 60 years, the school of automation of Beijing University of science and technology, formerly known as the Department of automatic control, is one of the earliest universities in China to establish the major of automatic control. After 60 years of construction and development, the college has obvious characteristics and advantages in the combination of theoretical research and engineering practice, interdisciplinary, deep integration of military and civil. In 2017, the first level discipline of control science and engineering was selected into the "double first-class" construction discipline list of the Ministry of education, and was rated as a class a discipline in the fourth round of discipline evaluation of the Ministry of education. The college adheres to its original intention and strives to forge ahead. It has written a new era of seeking and pioneering in terms of talent training and discipline development.
For 60 years, the teachers and students of the school have been devoted to the motherland and serve the motherland, We share the same breath and destiny with the party and the country, and go hand in hand with the historical process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Adhering to the policy of deepening innovation and practice, the college has trained tens of thousands of outstanding talents, including Comrade Zeng Qinghong, the former leader of the party and the state, lieutenant general Hao Yan, major general Shang Xuekun, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering and chief scientist of Chinese weapons Yang Shuxing, academician of the American Academy of engineering Shi Jianjun, commander Wang Guangyi and many other outstanding talents of long five long seven rocket, the college has always been committed to targeting the major strategic needs of the country and the forefront of world science and technology development, played an important role in China's national economic development, and made an important contribution to the progress of Science and technology, national development and social civilization.
The 60th anniversary of the founding of the college is not only an important milestone in the development of the college, but also a new starting point for the college to build a world-class university with Chinese characteristics and a first-class discipline of automation college. The college will take the 60th anniversary as an opportunity to hold a celebration in September 2020, and sincerely invite leaders at all levels, alumni at home and abroad and friends from all walks of life who are concerned about supporting the development of Automation Discipline to take the time to come, have a good friendship, seek common development and create a bright future for the college!
