Help Spring Festival Gala gather positive energy of anti epidemic

Novel coronavirus pneumonia ward of the Zhongshan Institute of infectious diseases in North Institute of science and technology, Wuhan, and other intelligent distribution robots, helped to complete the first line of the new crown pneumonia epidemic situation, and helped to complete the work of high risk infection, which greatly reduced the risk of cross infection and the loss of medical materials. 01 vaccine development
Huang Yuanyu's research team of the school's cutting edge interdisciplinary research institute and Kangzhong (Beijing) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. jointly demonstrated the project of "messenger nucleic acid (mRNA) vaccine development". The research project uses novel coronavirus nucleic acid to express the ACE2 receptor binding fragment (RBD) of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) S1 protein and induce the protective immune response, thereby preventing viral infection. The project recently completed the first animal experiment, and the results showed good S1 antibody titer and tolerance.

Antiviral drugs

The team of Qu Feng, Professor of School of life and Huang Yuanyu, researcher of Frontier Interdisciplinary Science Research Institute, cooperated with Hunan University to screen aptamer for detection of new coronavirus. The aptamer screened will be able to specifically recognize and affinity S1 Protein of new coronavirus, or RBD domain of S1 Protein, and it is expected to be used for rapid detection and diagnosis of new coronavirus.
Relying on the advantages of long-term research on space life science load technology and instruments, Professor Deng Yulin's team of School of life carried out the "Research on rapid screening technology of diversified and large-throughput pathogenic microorganisms". The project focuses on the development of innovative technology and instruments for biomedical detection of pathogens based on microfluidic chips.

Emergency medical equipment
According to the emergency needs of the public health event, the school of mechanical and electrical engineering designed and developed a reusable modular packaged medical unit, which can realize the docking with mobile CT, mobile P3 laboratory and testing equipment, and is expected to form an emergency packaged medical unit product.
War "epidemic" weapon, nano automatic anti-virus mask
When Hubei people's medical supplies are in short supply, beitech has developed mofilter protective material as the active middle layer of mask, which can effectively kill the virus.
Professor Wang Bo's team from Beijing University of science and technology, together with the Centers for Disease Control and prevention of the people's Liberation Army, has made full use of their own scientific research advantages to jointly study virus killing materials. On the basis of the previous technology of mofilter nanocrystalline membrane, we have successfully developed the mofilter material which can effectively kill viruses.
Using mofilter as the active middle layer of the mask, the real use scene was simulated by spraying microbial aerosol. After 30 minutes of illumination, there were no bacteria in the upper, middle and lower layers of the mask. Under the same conditions, a large number of viable bacteria remained in commercial N95 masks.
Novel coronavirus pneumonia is a promising MOFilter protective material. Its application will play an active role in promoting the prevention and control of new crown pneumonia and economic and social development.
