The second lecture of "research hotspot of information industry development" is a series of public lectures. I am honored to invite Dr. Weng Dongdong, researcher of Institute of optoelectronic information technology and color engineering, School of optoelectronics, Beijing University of science and technology, whose topic is "virtual reality to synchronous reality".
Based on the new technology of display and human-computer interaction, "virtual immersion" creates a real-time interactive environment for users. "Virtual immersion" starts with virtual reality technology, and after more than 50 years of evolution, gradually develops a variety of technology branches and forms, such as hybrid reality, augmented reality, spatial augmented reality, and entity hybrid reality.
At present, with more and more high immersion application scenarios, users need to stay in the system continuously for more and more time. How to further break through the barrier between the virtual and the real, realize a more intelligent, deeper and comprehensive integration between "people, machines and things", and improve the time limit for users to stay has become an important issue in the development of information field.
Dr. Weng will introduce the concept of virtual real integration immersion technology of multimodal space-time synchronization in the live broadcast course from 10:00 to 11:00 on April 15. By matching "virtual" and "real" objects into "synchronous interactive objects" with common aspects, a new immersion environment of "virtual" and "real" information relationship equivalence will be constructed in the unified space to achieve deeper integration of the two.
Weng Dongdong, who graduated from the national key discipline of optical engineering of Beijing University of science and technology in 2006, has obtained a Ph In recent years, he has published more than 30 papers and applied for more than 10 patents.
