With the approval of the Ministry of education, Beijing University of science and technology and the University of Central Lancashire jointly hold the bachelor's degree in electronic engineering for 3 years.
The project started in 1998 and has been running for more than 20 years. It is one of the earliest cooperative education projects in China. At present, there are 18 graduates in the program, and about 90% of them go to UK universities to pursue master's or doctor's degrees.
This project adopts the teaching plan, syllabus, English teaching materials and English Teaching of electronic engineering major of Lancashire University. During the study period in China, English is taught by the specially appointed foreign teachers of Lancashire University; one third of the professional courses are taught by the teachers of Lancashire University, and the rest are taught by the teachers of Beijing University of technology.
