In the fields of wind turbine blades, aerospace, and electronic packaging, the interfacial properties of epoxy resin composites directly determine product lifespan. Anhui Aiyota's epoxy-silane coupling agent (IOTA-560, corresponding to the KH-560 type) provides an innovative solution for improving composite material performance.
IOTA-560 contains highly reactive epoxy groups and hydrolyzable alkoxysilane groups, enabling it to simultaneously form chemical bonds with epoxy resin and inorganic fillers (glass fiber, quartz powder, alumina, etc.). Experiments show that adding 2% of this coupling agent increases the interlaminar shear strength of epoxy/glass fiber composites by 35%, and improves the wet strength retention rate from 60% to 85%.
This product demonstrates superior performance in five major scenarios: enhancing the interfacial adhesion between glass fiber and epoxy resin in wind turbine blade manufacturing; improving the dispersibility of thermally conductive fillers and interfacial thermal conductivity efficiency in electronic packaging materials; enhancing adhesion to metal and glass substrates in adhesive formulations; improving corrosion resistance in coating systems; and reducing porosity and increasing density in composite material molding.
IOTA-560 is a colorless, transparent liquid with an epoxy value of 0.40-0.45 eq/100g and a density of 1.07 g/cm³. It is available in 200kg iron drums. Store in a cool, dry place. Shelf life is 12 months. The IOTA technical service team can provide formulation design and process optimization support to customers.
