Many people focus on the conductivity of cables, but in practical applications, "wet electrical performance" is equally crucial.
In humid environments, ordinary materials easily absorb water, leading to: decreased insulation performance; increased electrical losses; and shortened service life.
IOTA-570 3-(methacryloyloxy)propyltrimethoxysilane improves the bonding between fillers (such as clay) and rubber matrices (EPM, EPDM), resulting in a denser material structure and effectively reducing moisture intrusion.
Its advantages include: reduced dielectric loss; improved capacitance stability; and improved long-term weather resistance.
This is why silane coupling agents have become standard in high-requirement cables (such as power cables and communication cables).
