1. Performance characteristics
MQ silicone resin is a very unique type of polysiloxane, and the cheap and easy-to-obtain water glass is its main raw material. Its wide range of uses makes it a new type of organosilicon polymer compound with a bright future. MQ silicone resin is a kind of silicone resin composed of monofunctional Si-O unit (M unit) and four-functional Si-O unit (SiQZ referred to as Q unit), which has a double-layer structure and compact spherical shape. Generally, MQ silicone resin is a powder, which is not easy to disperse when used directly. It has the characteristics of heat resistance, film forming, adhesion, water repellency, aging resistance and ultraviolet radiation resistance.

3. Scope of application
1. Make high-temperature coatings for insulation, jointing and sealing of H-class motors.

3. It can be used to make a release agent for various materials.
4. As a basic raw material added to the defoamer, it can improve the defoaming and antifoaming ability.
5. Improve and adjust the peeling force of pressure-sensitive adhesives, used to make pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, etc.
6. Reinforcing filler: it can be used for shellless potting of RTV rubber, HTV rubber, addition liquid silicone rubber, heat vulcanized silicone rubber compound, and semiconductor components

4. Application prospects
MQ silicone resin has great industrial application value. First of all, it is the only organosilicon polymer compound that does not start from expensive raw materials such as organosilicon metal compounds and silicon, but actually starts from water glass for mass production. Meanwhile, practical progress has been made by introducing various organic groups into methyl MQ silicone resins or extending them into silicone resins with MDQ or MTQ structures. For example, epoxy-modified MQ silicone resin can be used as an adhesive surface treatment agent for tackifiers of organic resin coatings; chloromethyl-modified MQ silicone resin is sensitive to ultraviolet rays, electron beams and X-rays; MQ silicone resin can be used as an additive to organic resins to reduce its internal stress and as an internal mold release agent. In addition, in recent years, the consumption of silicone resin in the electronics/electrical industry has grown relatively rapidly, which will also be an important driving force for the development of global silicone resin in the future, and the market prospect is very broad.
