3. Evaluation of toughening agents on the processability of MQ raw rubber

4. Suggestions for the use of toughening agents in low hardness silicone gel
(1) Due to the small intermolecular shear and temperature rise during the mixing of low hardness silicone, it is recommended to control the mixing temperature between 40 ° C and 50 ° C to increase the dispersion of toughening agents in the silicone, enhance the toughening effect, and also shorten the mixing time.
(2) A toughening agent of 0.3 phr can significantly improve the processability of low hardness silicone, making the rubber easy to roll and mix.
(3) For applications with high transparency requirements, it is recommended to control the amount of toughening agent added, with 0.3 phr being the optimal.
(4) For products that require the addition of a large amount of functional fillers, such as high conductivity, high thermal conductivity, etc., it is advisable to increase the amount of toughening agent added to facilitate higher filling.
