silane coupling agent
It is a kind of organosilicon compound with two different chemical properties in the molecule, which is used to improve the actual bonding strength between polymer and inorganic substance. This may refer to not only the improvement of the real adhesive force, but also the improvement of the wettability, rheology and other operating performance. The coupling agent may also modify the interface region to enhance the boundary layer between organic and inorganic phases.
Therefore, silane coupling agent is widely used in adhesive, paint and ink, rubber, casting, glass fiber, cable, textile, plastic, filler, surface treatment and other industries.
Its classical products can be expressed by general formula xsir3.
In the formula, X is a non hydrolytic group, including alkenyl (mainly VI) and hydrocarbon with Cl, NH2 and other functional groups at the end, i.e. carbon functional group; R is a hydrolysable group, including ome, OET and so on.
The functional group in X is easy to react with the functional group in organic polymer, such as Oh, NH2, COOH, etc., so as to connect silane and organic polymer; when the functional group is hydrolyzed, si-r is converted into Si Oh, and HR is generated by side, such as MeOH, EtOH, etc. Si Oh can not only react with Si Oh in other molecules or Si oh on the surface of treated substrate to form Si-O-Si bond, but also react with some oxides to form stable Si-O bond, so that silane can be connected with inorganic or metal.
