The compression factor is the simplest, most direct and most accurate equation of state used to describe the PVT properties of real gas. The compression factor of compression factor graph is to modify the ideal state equation of ideal gas with the compression factor Z. That is, PV = znrt, so the compression factor is defined as Za = PV / NRT
When the actual gas is at the critical point, the compression factor is called critical compression factor ZC. The critical compression factor of most gases is close to 0.22-0.32, and usually forms the inflection point at the critical point.
