Silane coupling agent hydrolysis refers to the breaking of the silicon-oxygen bond in the silane coupling agent molecule under the action of water to form a silicon oxide product. The hydrolysis reaction is usually divided into two steps: first, the silicon-oxygen bond is broken to form a silicon hydroxyl compound, and then the silicon hydroxyl group reacts with other silicon hydroxyl groups or silicon-oxygen bonds in water to form a silicon oxide film. The hydrolysis principle of silane coupling agent is to achieve structural changes in silane coupling agent molecules and bonding with the material surface through hydrolysis and cross-linking reactions, thereby improving the performance of the material.
