Following a fire at a major domestic silicone raw material plant last week, the industry is now facing serious supply chain disruptions. The accident resulted in extensive damage to the plant’s core production lines, severely affecting the availability of key raw materials.

Silicone product suppliers have begun issuing emergency notifications. Due to surging raw material costs, prices of products such as silicone oil, 107 OH polymer, and modified silicone oils are being adjusted upward. Customers are being strongly encouraged to confirm orders promptly and lock in current pricing. In some cases, prices have increased by more than 10% within just a few days.

One manufacturer commented:

"The raw material quotations we received this week are already 20% higher than those from earlier this month. We’ve set the quotation validity at 2 days, and we kindly ask our customers for prompt confirmation."
