Typical Application Process (Example: Automotive Exhaust Catalyst Coating)
1. Modified Silica Sol Preparation
Silica Sol + KH-550 + Triphenylsilanol (mass ratio 1.5:1, total amount accounts for 15%-20% of the silica sol)
React at 45-65°C for 24-36 hours to reduce hydroxyl groups and improve compatibility.
2. Coating Preparation
Modified Silica Sol + Ammonium Metavanadate Solution + Tungsten Titanium Powder/Cerium Zirconium Powder
Active Material + Nonionic Surfactant (TX-10 & NP-40) + Deionized Water
3. Coating and Curing
Coating → Dry at 80-120°C for 2 hours → Calcination at 500-550°C for 1.5-2.5 hours
Enhance coating stability and adhesion.
