In the field of specialty silicone material technology research and development, achieving higher crosslinking density and superior mechanical properties in silicone rubber without sacrificing processability and stability has always been a core focus for formulation engineers. As an important component of high-vinyl silicone materials, tetramethyltetravinylcyclotetrasiloxane (IOTA V4) is gradually becoming a commonly used tool molecule in industry formulation research.

IOTA V4 is characterized by its transparent liquid nature, refractive index of 1.4342, boiling point of 224℃, and density of 0.9875 g/ml. Its vinyl content is also high, exceeding 29.8%, giving it a natural advantage in structural modification and improving the crosslinking efficiency of silicone rubber systems. Due to its regular structure and moderate reactivity, it can be used in practical formulations as both a vinyl supplement and a structure-modifying monomer to help achieve a more ideal network structure.

Industry engineers indicate that silicone rubber systems using IOTA V4 typically exhibit higher elasticity, lower compression set, superior resistance to yellowing, and more stable processing performance, particularly in optical components, food-grade silicone, seals, and high-end industrial products.
