Overview of the Research Institute
In order to implement the major national strategic deployment of healthy China and civil military integration, promote the close combination of science and technology and medical application, build a science and technology cooperation platform that integrates wisdom and seeks win-win results, and explore the collaborative innovation mode that effectively serves the national strategy, Beijing University of technology established the Institute of medical engineering integration in May 2018.
The Research Institute of medical engineering integration undertakes to build a high-level medical engineering integration technology innovation platform, gather leading scientific and technological talents and teams at home and abroad, lay out the whole chain task of innovative medical product development, promote the cross integration of superior science and technology, medicine and life science, nurture collaborative innovation of medical engineering, cultivate compound high-level talents of medical engineering, and cultivate the construction of engineering medicine foundation of the school The mission is to build a new research institution, effectively gather a group of well-known scholars at home and abroad to lead the way to establish a research team through the PI team system organization mode, focus on the major issues of China's health, carry out research and development of key technologies for medical engineering integration, innovative medical product development and achievement transformation, and cultivate high-level talents for medical engineering complex, so as to promote China's advanced diagnosis and treatment technology And medical equipment development to serve the health and well-being of the people.
The research institute has Zhongguancun campus research department and Liangxiang R & D center. The "Beijing new R & D Center for engineering medicine and innovative application" built in No. 8 Hospital of Zhihui, Liangxiang higher education park is an integral part and R & D base of the Research Institute. According to the construction idea of integration of application development and industrial transformation, the new R & D center will be built into an innovation system to support the overall task of innovative medical product development.
