Beijing University of technology was born in Yan'an in 1940. It is the first university of science and engineering founded by the Communist Party of China. It is subordinate to the Ministry of industry and information technology of the people's Republic of China. It is one of the key universities in the National Calendar since the founding of the people's Republic of China.
