The school of Marxism of Beijing University of science and technology has a long history and profound connotation. Its predecessor can be traced back to the establishment of the first teaching and Research Office directly under the leadership of 1952, namely the political teaching and research office. In June 2009, the teaching and Research Department of Marxist theory was established. In May 2014, it was renamed as the school of Marxism. In January 2016, it independently set up a secondary institution of Ideological and political theory teaching and research led by the school. In 2019, it was selected as one of the first batch of key construction Marxist colleges in Beijing. In March 2020, the degree committee of the State Council deliberated and approved the addition of doctoral degree authorization points for the first level discipline of Marxist theory.

Responsibilities
