Breakthrough in superhydrophobic coating technology – Fluorosilane-enhanced self-cleaning surface materials

Hits: 68 img

In the fields of architectural glass, photovoltaic panels, automotive glass, and textile fabrics, superhydrophobic self-cleaning coatings effectively reduce cleaning and maintenance costs and improve product performance. Anhui Aiyota's fluorinated alkyl silane coupling agent, with its excellent low surface energy properties and chemical stability, has become a core functional material for superhydrophobic coatings.

This product's molecular structure contains perfluoroalkyl chains (C6-C8) and hydrolyzable alkoxysilane groups. After coating, the fluorocarbon chains align outwards to form a low surface energy surface, achieving a contact angle of over 150° and a roll-off angle of less than 10°, resulting in excellent hydrophobic and oleophobic effects. Simultaneously, the silicon groups form chemical bonds with the substrate, resulting in a coating that withstands over 5000 scrub cycles and provides over 3 years of outdoor weather resistance.

Aiyota's fluorosilane series offers both single-component and two-component products. The single-component model is easy to apply and suitable for large-area coatings, while the two-component model has a high crosslinking density, making it suitable for high-abrasion applications. The products have been applied in fields such as anti-reflective self-cleaning coatings for photovoltaic panels, anti-fouling coatings for architectural glass, and waterproof finishing agents for outdoor clothing. The company provides coating formulation design, construction process training, and performance testing services to help customers develop high-performance self-cleaning surface materials.
