Dear leaders and young friends
Good morning, everyone!
I am Liang Xiaoxiao, leader of the 21st Postgraduate Teaching Group Sichuan Branch of Nanjing University of science and technology. At present, I am teaching in shaping Town Central Primary School. It's a great honor to stand here and speak on behalf of young volunteers. I'll share with you from three aspects.
1、 First sight - coming for a dream
In 2019, when I first came here, the first thing that attracted me was the blue sky and the surging river, Dadu River, green mountains and waters. When I saw the scene of Ebian, it was not as barren as I imagined, but rather it should be called the paradise of the world.
I chose to support education because I wanted to be a responsible young man. Originally, it was for my dream. Now, I turn my expectation into children's hope. Now it is the fifth year that the South Institute of technology research group has come to Sichuan hometown, during which we have served 4 schools in total. Here, the smile on the children's faces and the light in their eyes are my biggest memory points.
At first, I couldn't understand the meaning of supporting teaching deeply. In the communication with the children, I gradually began to understand that it is far more than just two classes, teaching for one year, as well as the inspiration for students' life and thinking about future life. One of them, Qu Jianbo, let me know the meaning of teaching slowly.
2、 Such as the past -- touching to meet
After coming to the school of supporting education, we found that children are particularly interested in science and technology activities. With the support of the county Party committee, the government and the school, we set up a science and technology community. Besides the normal teaching work, we carried out scientific production activities, mainly guiding students to participate in robot competition. It's a common thing to stay up all night. I often kneel on the painting map with my teammates and stay all day.
Qu Jianbo is a little boy in the science and technology society. He is shy and dare not speak. He will be nervous and tremble when he meets problems. But he was very interested in robots, and he studied and operated very hard.
After layers of selection, he took part in the robot competition on behalf of the school. Before the race, wavelet's robot car broke out of control and rushed out of the track. Seeing that the race was about to start, we could do nothing but pray silently. When he finished debugging, the car had no chance to test again. He cried in front of us as soon as he was out of the competition area. We have always comforted him to focus on participation, as long as we try our best.
But to our surprise, in the formal competition in the afternoon, his car was very stable, completed all tasks accurately and quickly, and got the first place. After Xiaobo took part in this competition, his character began to change. He would not tremble nervously when encountering problems. He dared to speak initiatively and smile more.
Later, we took our children to a higher platform, the Sichuan Youth robot competition. All three teams won the first prize. I'm very happy that our efforts are valuable, our teaching is meaningful, and the children are changing day by day.
3、 Company - hand in hand
In early 2020, novel coronavirus pneumonia suddenly affected the hearts of the whole nation. Epidemic situation is order, prevention and control is responsibility. In the face of the epidemic, our young volunteers are duty bound. Under the call of the national policy of "no class and no school suspension", we became the first batch of nail group live teachers. Although I don't adapt to it, when I see the students' answers in the comment area, I feel like I'm back in front of the platform, and the lecture is more energetic.
Not only are we young people making efforts for epidemic prevention and control, but also children are eager to use their own brushes to cheer on the heroes of the war. Among my students, a 9-year-old Yi boy, a Liu Jiachao. With the help of volunteer Chen Ziyu, the handwritten newspaper "I'm in Ebian, bless Wuhan" was reported by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League on "crossing mountains and seas, bless Wuhan". When we asked why Liu Jiachao wanted to draw this picture, he said, "I'm still young and can't go to Wuhan to help, but I want to tell them, don't be afraid, let's go together.". In fact, in this year, there are many such stories, not only we are teaching our children, but also our children are teaching us.
Since July last year, we have changed our service point from Liufeng primary school to shaping primary school, but we will still return to the original place regularly to see the children on the mountain, continue the "West look plan", and light up the dreams and hopes for the poor students in the deep mountain. The volunteers are changing and the children are growing up, but our twice a month home visit is still in place. We will follow the students through steep cliffs and muddy paths in the mountains. We will hand over 200 yuan of love money and other love materials to the children's parents every month, just for them to live a better life. In the past five years, the Sichuan group of Nanjing University of science and technology graduate student support group has distributed more than 340000 yuan of charity money and materials, and more than 1000 people have benefited. In those children who are supported, we have seen the efforts of young volunteers from time to time, and we have become more clear about the significance of our coming to support education.
As General Secretary Xi pointed out in his reply to the hunger medical team of Peking University and all the members of the post-90s generation, "if the young generation has ideals, abilities and responsibilities, the country will have a future and the nation will have hope." When I practiced it, I gradually realized that inheriting and carrying forward the May 4th spirit is not a simple slogan, but must have knowledge, ability, ideal and responsibility.
"Young people should be ambitious, ambitious, where the motherland needs, are all my hometown." In the most beautiful youth, we will serve the society in the name of dedication, enlighten life in the name of education and dispelling doubts, and act as a great country in the name of contemporary youth. Nanjing University of science and technology graduate teaching group will continue to be in Ebian, a land with profound history, bloom youth, strive for the construction of the west, and write the chapter of life!
